﴿مَا ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِن وَلَدٖ وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُۥ مِنۡ إِلَٰهٍۚ إِذٗا لَّذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَٰهِۭ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖۚ سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ﴾
[المؤمنُون: 91]
﴿ما اتخذ الله من ولد وما كان معه من إله إذا لذهب﴾ [المؤمنُون: 91]
| Dr Kamal Omar Allah has not begotten any son; and there is not along with Him any ilah, otherwise then, each god would have moved apart with what he had created and surely, some of them would have gone against some (others). Allah be Glorified against all that they fabricate (against His Majesty) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar God took not to Himself any son, nor had there been any god with Him. For, then, each god would have taken away what he created. And some of them would have ascended over some others. Glory be to God above all that they allege |
| Dr Munir Munshey Allah did not adopt a son. Nor is there another god along with Him. Else, each god would draw his creation apart and withdraw. Each would attempt to overwhelm the other. Exalted is Allah, far above what they say about Him |
