﴿إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنۡ ءَالِهَتِنَا لَوۡلَآ أَن صَبَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهَاۚ وَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوۡنَ ٱلۡعَذَابَ مَنۡ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا ﴾
[الفُرقَان: 42]

He almost succeeded", they add, "in influencing our thoughts against our gods and he nearly made us err and our sober wishes almost learned to stray, had it not been for our firmness and constancy". But on the day they are confronted with the torment laid upon the damned they shall then realize who had been lost in the blind mazes of entangled wood
