﴿فَـَٔاتِ ذَا ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ حَقَّهُۥ وَٱلۡمِسۡكِينَ وَٱبۡنَ ٱلسَّبِيلِۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيۡرٞ لِّلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ وَجۡهَ ٱللَّهِۖ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ ﴾
[الرُّوم: 38]
﴿فآت ذا القربى حقه والمسكين وابن السبيل ذلك خير للذين يريدون وجه﴾ [الرُّوم: 38]
| Dr Kamal Omar So deliver to the close-relation his due, and to the poor one, and to the victim of travel. This is better for those who desire the Attention of Allah, and those people: they are those who attain success |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar So give to possessors of kinship rightfully and to the needy and to the traveler of the way. That is better for those who want the Countenance of God. And those, they are the ones who prosper |
| Dr Munir Munshey Grant the due rights to your near ones, the poor and the wayfarer. That is better for those who seek the pleasure of Allah. They are the successful ones |
| Edward Henry Palmer Then give to the kinsman his due, and to the poor and to the wayfarer; that is better for those who desire the face of God, and these it is who are prosperous |
| Farook Malik O believers, give what is due to your relatives, the needy and the traveller in need. That is best for those who seek the pleasure of Allah and it is they who will attain felicity |
| George Sale Give unto Him who is of kin to thee his reasonable due; and also to the poor, and the stranger: This is better for those who seek the face of God; and they shall prosper |
| Maududi So give his due to the near of kin, and to the needy, and to the wayfarer. That is better for those who desire to please Allah. It is they who will prosper |
