﴿وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَا تَأۡتِينَا ٱلسَّاعَةُۖ قُلۡ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّي لَتَأۡتِيَنَّكُمۡ عَٰلِمِ ٱلۡغَيۡبِۖ لَا يَعۡزُبُ عَنۡهُ مِثۡقَالُ ذَرَّةٖ فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَآ أَصۡغَرُ مِن ذَٰلِكَ وَلَآ أَكۡبَرُ إِلَّا فِي كِتَٰبٖ مُّبِينٖ ﴾
[سَبإ: 3]
﴿وقال الذين كفروا لا تأتينا الساعة قل بلى وربي لتأتينكم عالم الغيب﴾ [سَبإ: 3]
| Dr Kamal Omar And those who disbelieved said: "The Hour will not come to us.” Say: "Nay, by my Nourisher-Sustainer! Surely, it will come to you.” (Allah is) All-Knower of the unseen. Does not escape from him (even the) weight of a minute particle throughout the heavens, and nor in the earth; — and nor (any thing) smaller from this and nor greater — but it is in a crystal-clear record |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And those who were ungrateful said: The Hour will not approach us. Say: Yea! By my Lord, it will, certainly, approach you. He is One Who Knows of the unseen. Not an atom’s weight escapes from Him in the heavens or in and on the earth, be it smaller than that or greater, but that it had been in a clear Book |
| Dr Munir Munshey The unbelievers say, "(We have rejected it flat out, yet the punishment of) the hour (of Judgment) does not strike us." Say, "Of course it will! It will most certainly come upon you. I swear by my Lord Who knows the unseen intimately." Nothing worth even a (single) grain of sand in the heavens or on earth _ nor anything smaller or larger than that _ ever escapes His attention. Everything is (recorded) in a clear register |
| Edward Henry Palmer Those who misbelieve say, 'The Hour shall not come to us;' say, 'Yea, by my Lord it shall surely come to you! by Him who knows the unseen! nor shall there escape from it the weight of an atom, in the heavens or in the earth, or even less than that, or greater, save in the perspicuous Book |
| Farook Malik The unbelievers say: "The Hour of Doom will never come to us." Tell them: "Nay! By my Lord, the Knower of the unseen, it shall certainly come upon you. Nothing, even equal an atom, in the heavens or the earth is hidden from Him; nor there is anything smaller or greater than that, but is recorded in the Clear Book |
| George Sale The unbelievers say, the hour of judgment will not come unto us. Answer, yea, by my Lord, it will surely come unto you; it is He who knoweth the hidden secret: The weight of an ant, either in heaven or in earth, is not absent from Him, nor any thing lesser than this or greater, but the same is written in the perspicuous book of his decrees |
| Maududi The unbelievers say: "How come the Hour is not coming upon us!" Say to them: "Yes indeed, by my Lord, by Him Who fully knows the realm beyond the ken of perception, that the Hour shall inevitably come upon you. Nothing escapes Him, not even the smallest particle in the heavens or the earth; nor is anything smaller or bigger than that but is in a Manifest Book |
