Quran with Tafsir_English translation - Surah Ghafir ayat 29 - غَافِر - Page - Juz 24
﴿يَٰقَوۡمِ لَكُمُ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ ظَٰهِرِينَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَمَن يَنصُرُنَا مِنۢ بَأۡسِ ٱللَّهِ إِن جَآءَنَاۚ قَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ مَآ أُرِيكُمۡ إِلَّا مَآ أَرَىٰ وَمَآ أَهۡدِيكُمۡ إِلَّا سَبِيلَ ٱلرَّشَادِ ﴾
[غَافِر: 29]
﴿ياقوم لكم الملك اليوم ظاهرين في الأرض فمن ينصرنا من بأس الله﴾ [غَافِر: 29]
| Dr Kamal Omar O my nation! Under you is the country this day. (You are) the controlling and administering ones in the land. But who will provide assistance to us from the destruction proceeding from Allah if it did approach us?” Firaun said: “I do not make you see except what I (myself) perceive; and I do not guide you except to the desired way.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar O my folk! Yours is the dominion this day, ones who are prominent on the earth. But who will help us from the might of God if it drew near us? Pharaoh said: I cause you to see not but what I see and what I guide you to is not but the way of rectitude |
| Dr Munir Munshey Oh people, today the empire belongs to you and it is the dominant power in the world! But who will help us if the wrath of Allah comes down upon us?" The pharaoh said, "I only express what I think. I guide you along the path of reason (and logic) |
| Edward Henry Palmer O my people! yours is the kingdom today, ye are eminent in the land, but who will help us against the violence of God, if it comes upon us?' Said Pharaoh, 'I will only show you what I see, and I will only guide you into the way of right direction |
| Farook Malik O my people! You are the rulers and are dominant in the land today: but who will help us against the scourge of Allah, should it befall us?" Pharoah said: "I am pointing out to you only what I see and I am guiding you only towards the right way |
| George Sale O my people, the kingdom is yours this day; and ye are conspicuous in the earth: But who shall defend us from the scourge of God, if it come unto us? Pharaoh said, I only propose to you what I think to be most expedient: And I guide you only into the right path |
| Maududi My people, today the kingdom is yours, and you are supreme in the land. But if Allah´s chastisement were to come upon you, who will come to our help?" Pharaoh said: "I only counsel what I consider right; I only direct you to the Path of Rectitude |
