﴿يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَخۡرُجُواْ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَمَا هُم بِخَٰرِجِينَ مِنۡهَاۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ مُّقِيمٞ ﴾
[المَائدة: 37]
﴿يريدون أن يخرجوا من النار وما هم بخارجين منها ولهم عذاب مقيم﴾ [المَائدة: 37]
| Dr Kamal Omar They would intend that they may come out of the Fire and they (will) not (be those) who are coming out of it, and for them (will be) a lasting torment |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar They will want to go forth from the fire, but they will not be ones who go forth from it. And for them is an abiding punishment |
| Dr Munir Munshey They would yearn to come out of the hellfire, but they shall not emerge from it (ever). Their torment shall stay with them (forever) |
| Edward Henry Palmer They may wish to go forth from the Fire, but they shall not go forth therefrom, for them is lasting woe |
| Farook Malik They will desire to get out of the fire but will not be able to do so and they shall have an everlasting punishment |
| George Sale They shall desire to go forth from the fire, but they shall not go forth from it, and their punishment shall be permanent |
| Maududi They will wish to come out of the Fire, but they will not. Theirs will be a long-lasting chastisement |
