﴿فَنَادَوۡاْ صَاحِبَهُمۡ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ ﴾
[القَمَر: 29]
﴿فنادوا صاحبهم فتعاطى فعقر﴾ [القَمَر: 29]
| Dr Kamal Omar But they called their companion, so he moved forward alongwith (his callers); then he hamstrung (the she-camel) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar But they cried out to their companion, and he took her in hand and crippled her |
| Dr Munir Munshey Instead, they summoned their comrade who (accepted the assignment and) butchered (the camel) |
| Edward Henry Palmer Then they called their companion, and he plied (a knife) and hamstrung her |
| Farook Malik At last the people of Thamud called out to one of their companions, who took the responsibility and hamstrung her |
