﴿قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّكُمۡ كُنتُمۡ تَأۡتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ ﴾
[الصَّافَات: 28]
﴿قالوا إنكم كنتم تأتوننا عن اليمين﴾ [الصَّافَات: 28]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side |
| Mohammad Shafi Saying, "You did indeed use to come to us from the right side (exercise control over us) |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth) |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani They (the followers) will say, “You were the ones who used to come to (mislead) us forcefully.” |
| Muhammad Asad Some [of them] will say: “Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!” |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali They (The seduced) say, "Surely you used to come up to us from the right hand." (i.e. with the Truth) |
| Muhammad Sarwar It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness |
| Muhammad Taqi Usmani They (the followers) will say, .You were the ones who used to come to (mislead) us forcefully |
| Mustafa Khattab Allah Edition The misled will say, “It was you who deluded us away from what is right.” |
| Mustafa Khattab God Edition The misled will say, “It was you who deluded us away from what is right.” |
| N J Dawood saying: ‘You have imposed upon us!‘― |
| Safi Kaskas [Some] will say, "You used to approach us from a position of power |
