﴿قَالَ تَٱللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرۡدِينِ ﴾
[الصَّافَات: 56]
﴿قال تالله إن كدت لتردين﴾ [الصَّافَات: 56]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish |
| Mohammad Shafi He will say, "By Allah! You had almost ruined me |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani He (the speaker) will say (to his companion seen in Jahannam ), “By Allah, you were going almost to ruin me |
| Muhammad Asad and says: “By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali He says, "By Allah, (The Arabic is ta-llahi; which a stronger oath than the more usual wa-llahi) decidedly you were almost about to topple me down indeed |
| Muhammad Sarwar He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me |
