Quran with British translation - Surah At-Taubah ayat 49 - التوبَة - Page - Juz 10
﴿وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَقُولُ ٱئۡذَن لِّي وَلَا تَفۡتِنِّيٓۚ أَلَا فِي ٱلۡفِتۡنَةِ سَقَطُواْۗ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةُۢ بِٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ ﴾
[التوبَة: 49]
﴿ومنهم من يقول ائذن لي ولا تفتني ألا في الفتنة سقطوا وإن﴾ [التوبَة: 49]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And among them there is he who says: Allow me and do not try me. Surely into trial have they already tumbled down, and most surely hell encompasses the unbelievers |
| Mohammad Shafi And among them, there is one who says, "Allow me and try me not." Have they not already failed in the trial? And Hell does indeed encompass those who suppress the Truth |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Of them is he who saith: Grant me leave (to stay at home) and tempt me not. Surely it is into temptation that they (thus) have fallen. Lo! hell verily is all around the disbelievers |
