Quran with English translation - Surah At-Taubah ayat 49 - التوبَة - Page - Juz 10
﴿وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَقُولُ ٱئۡذَن لِّي وَلَا تَفۡتِنِّيٓۚ أَلَا فِي ٱلۡفِتۡنَةِ سَقَطُواْۗ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةُۢ بِٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ ﴾
[التوبَة: 49]
﴿ومنهم من يقول ائذن لي ولا تفتني ألا في الفتنة سقطوا وإن﴾ [التوبَة: 49]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Among them are the people who say, “Grant me exemption, and draw me not into a trial.” Have they not fallen into a trial already? And indeed hell surrounds the unbelievers |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And some among them say: permit me (to stay behind), and do not test me. (know that) They fell in the test already. And indeed hell surrounds the disbelievers |
| Ali Quli Qarai Among them there are some who say, ‘Give me leave, and do not put me to temptation.’ Look! They have already fallen into temptation and indeed hell besieges the faithless |
| Ali Unal Among them is one who says: "Give me leave (not to participate in this campaign) and do not expose me to temptation." Oh, but surely, they have already fallen into temptation (because of their hypocrisy and transgressions)! And surely Hell encompasses the unbelievers |
| Hamid S Aziz Of them are some who say, "Grant me exemption, and draw me not into trial (or temptation (of the beauty of the enemy women))" Have they not fallen into the trial already, but Hell surrounds the disbelievers |
| John Medows Rodwell Some of them say to thee, "Allow me to remain at home, and expose me not to the trial." Have they not fallen into a trial already? But verily, Hell shall environ the Infidels |
| Literal And from them who says: "Permit/allow for me, and do not test/misguide me " Is it not in the treason/misguidance (that) they dropped/erred , and that Hell is surrounding (E) with the disbelievers |
| Mir Anees Original And among them is he who says, "Permit me (to be away from fighting) and do not put me into affliction." Have they not fallen into the affliction? And hell certainly encompasses the infidels |
