﴿ثُمَّ عَفَوۡنَا عَنكُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ ذَٰلِكَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 52]
﴿ثم عفونا عنكم من بعد ذلك لعلكم تشكرون﴾ [البَقَرَة: 52]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Even then, We forgave you, and there was a chance for you to be grateful |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad We excused you after that, so you may be thankful |
| Ali Quli Qarai Then We excused you after that so that you might give thanks |
| Ali Unal Then (even though adopting as deity any other than God is an unpardonable sin, We accepted your atonement and) We pardoned you after that, that you might (acknowledge Our many and great favors to you and) give thanks (believing in God and worshipping Him alone, and carrying out His commandments) |
| Hamid S Aziz Yet then We forgave you after that; perhaps you may be grateful |
| John Medows Rodwell Yet after this we forgave you, that ye might be grateful |
| Literal Then We forgave on you from after that, maybe you thank/be grateful |
