﴿قَالُواْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡنَآ أَوَعَظۡتَ أَمۡ لَمۡ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡوَٰعِظِينَ ﴾
[الشعراء: 136]
﴿قالوا سواء علينا أوعظت أم لم تكن من الواعظين﴾ [الشعراء: 136]
| Abdel Haleem They replied, ‘It makes no difference to us whether you warn us or not |
| Abdul Hye They said: “It is the same to us whether you preach or you are not of those who preach |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali They said: "It is the same to us whether thou admonish us or be not among (our) admonishers |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi They said: it is equal unto us whether thou admonishest or art not of the admonishers |
| Ahmed Ali They said: "It is the same to us if you warn us or do not warn |
| Aisha Bewley They said, ´It makes no difference to us whether you preach or do not preach |
