﴿وَأَمَّآ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيۡهِ رِزۡقَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّيٓ أَهَٰنَنِ ﴾
[الفَجر: 16]
﴿وأما إذا ما ابتلاه فقدر عليه رزقه فيقول ربي أهانن﴾ [الفَجر: 16]
| Abdel Haleem but when He tries him through the restriction of his provision, he says, ‘My Lord has humiliated me.’ |
| Abdul Hye But when He tries them through restricting their means of life, then they say: “Our Lord has humiliated us!” |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali But when He trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi And when He proveth him, and so stinteth Unto him his provision, he saith: 'my Lord hath despised me |
| Ahmed Ali But when He tries him by restraining his means, he says: "My Lord despises me |
| Aisha Bewley But then when He tests him by restricting his provision, he says, ´My Lord has humiliated me!´ |
