﴿وَأَمَّآ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيۡهِ رِزۡقَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّيٓ أَهَٰنَنِ ﴾
[الفَجر: 16]
﴿وأما إذا ما ابتلاه فقدر عليه رزقه فيقول ربي أهانن﴾ [الفَجر: 16]
Mohammad Habib Shakir But when He tries him (differently), then straitens to him his means of subsistence, he says: My Lord has disgraced me |
Mohammad Shafi And as He tests him by restricting his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall But whenever He trieth him by straitening his means of life, he saith: My Lord despiseth me |
Mufti Taqi Usmani But when he tests him, and thus straitens his provision for him, he says, “My Lord has disgraced me.” |
Muhammad Asad whereas, whenever He tries him by straitening his means of livelihood, he says, "My Sustainer has disgraced me |
