﴿قَالُواْ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلۡقِيَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُلۡقِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 115]
﴿قالوا ياموسى إما أن تلقي وإما أن نكون نحن الملقين﴾ [الأعرَاف: 115]
| Dr Kamal Omar (The magicians) said: “O Musa! Is it that you throw (first) or is it that we become, we, as those who throw (their material first)?” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar They said: O Moses! Either thou cast, or will we be the ones who cast |
| Dr Munir Munshey They said, "Oh Musa! Either you cast your spell, or let us be the ones to go (first) |
| Edward Henry Palmer They said, 'O Moses! wilt thou cast down (thy rod) or shall we be (first) to throw |
| Farook Malik Then they asked Moses: "Will you cast, or should we be the first ones to cast |
| George Sale They said, 'O Moses, wilt thou throw first or shall we be the first throwers |
| Maududi Then they said: ´0 Moses, will you [first] throw your rod, or shall we throw?´ |
